Controlling fictions: methodological paradoxes and political dead ends of the new Melanesian ethnography
The article is devoted to the criticism of the methodological approach in the anthropology Oceania, known as the new Melanesian ethnography. The author demonstrates the historical origins of the method and provides a number of ethnographic illustrations.
