Cognitive pragmatics of American presidential debates: a case for economic metaphors
Defining conceptual economic metaphors and related metonymies in US presidential debates of the 21st century. Analysis of their functioning in economic segments of debates in terms of discourse strategies, their impact on the opponent and the audience.
